Microsoft Word voor Microsoft 365 is the subscription version of Word included with Microsoft 365. It is primarily a word processor, but it also handles common PDF tasks such as opening many PDFs for editing, exporting documents to PDF, and preserving comments, headings, links, and layout reasonably well for office documents.

It is used by business staff, students, legal and administrative teams, and IT-managed Microsoft 365 environments that already rely on Office formats. A distinguishing trait is its tight integration with the Microsoft 365 ecosystem: users can move between DOCX and PDF in a familiar editor without deploying a dedicated PDF authoring tool for basic workflows.
