Microsoft Word für Microsoft 365 is the subscription edition of Word included in Microsoft 365. It is primarily a word processor, but it also handles common PDF tasks such as opening many PDFs for conversion into editable Word documents and exporting documents to PDF.

It is used by office staff, legal and administrative teams, students, and technical document authors who already work in the Microsoft 365 ecosystem. A distinguishing trait is its PDF reflow capability: when a PDF is opened, Word attempts to reconstruct it as a structured, editable document rather than treating it only as a fixed-layout file.
