Frequently Asked Questions

What does the PDF comparer check?

The comparer checks page count, file size, PDF version, document metadata (title, author, subject, creator, producer), creation and modification dates, encryption status, tagged content, font count, image count, and embedded JavaScript.

Are my PDF files stored after comparison?

No. The PDF files are processed in memory and discarded immediately after comparison. Only the extracted metadata comparison result is stored so you can share a link.

Is there a file size limit?

Each PDF can be up to 100 MB. For larger files, consider optimising them with our PDF Optimiser first.

Can I share the comparison results?

Yes! After comparing, you get a unique share link that lets anyone view the results without uploading anything.
